!±8± Hair Expert's Advice - Dealing With Different Hair Types

Only a few chosen ones are lucky enough to have perfect beautiful hair. The rest of either has dry, brittle, coarse, dull, greasy or thinning hair that hardly calls for a celebration. In fact, there are people who detest their own hair, wishing they own a head of a different person.

But those who have less than perfect hair condition should not lose hope. There are various things you can do to deal with whatever unsightly hair type that you have and improve it to achieve a glorious looking mane that you will surely be proud of.

Dry Hair

This type is usually the effect of shampoo and hard-water particle build-up that deprives your hair the sheen and shine that you have always wanted. To solve this condition, use a shampoo that is specifically designed for dry hair. You can also clean it with a mixture of plain apple-cider vinegar and water, which is effective in restoring the acid mantle. The acid mantle contributes greatly to healthy scalp and shiny hair.

Moreover, you should also make it a habit to deep condition it from within at least once a week. An intensive moisturizing conditioner will do the trick. A monthly hot oil treatment will enhance the results further.

Frizzy

A rich moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is an effective solution for your frizzy hair. It is also important to get a haircut suitable for your type and this means that you should stay away from those that have too many layers.

You can also remove the frizz by using high quality hair irons. Remember, you need to use one that is either ceramic or tourmaline such as T3 wet to dry because this is efficient in getting rid of frizz. Cheap generic ones that are not capable of sustaining constant heat will only damage your tresses.

Make sure you dry it thoroughly before using a hair iron. Using it even on a slightly damp hair can give it more frizzes. But if you are the kind of person who is always on the go, you might want to consider the T3 wet to dry straightener, which you can use even on damp hair.

Greasy

Contrary to popular belief, daily washing is not helpful to oily hair because this only over stimulates the sebaceous glands that secrete more oil . It is better to wash your hair every other day and avoid rubbing your scalp too much.

Wash it with a mild-ph balanced shampoo and apply conditioner on the mid and ends of the hair and not at the roots. It would also help if you would avoid oily and fatty foods in your diet because they contribute to greasier hair.

Thinning Hair

As for thinning hair, the best way to handle it is to stay away from stiff nylon brushes, tight braids, ponytails, rollers, rubbing of scalp vigorously, heat generating hair appliances, and hairstyles that can put pressure onto it. Drop some essential oils on it such as jojoba oil, tea tree and rosemary to encourage scalp nourishment.

Even though you have dry, greasy, frizzy, or thinning hair, it does not mean you cannot have it beautiful someday. Follow these tips and look forward to having glorious hair in no time.
